Brain Meningioma with CRPS-Like Symptoms: A Case Report
Kim Seung-Min

Lee Sul-Ki
Abstract
Complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is characterized by pain, swelling, limited range of motion, vasomotor instability, and skin changes, resulting in severe functional impairment. Although it has usually been described as occurring after trauma, it can also occur after a stroke, in association with heart disease, or develop spontaneously. The population of individuals with CRPS is heterogeneous with distinct subgroups that present different clinical features and exhibit a variable response to treatment. It is important to note that the diagnosis of CRPS requires a careful evaluation of comorbidities, and CRPS may be part of the clinical manifestations of a paraneoplastic syndrome. We report a case of CRPS-like symptoms in a patient with meningioma whose symptoms resolved after tumor removal.
